About Alice Cartoons

Andrea Beizer is a Philadelphia based artist, cartoonist, architect/designer and teacher. She created "Alice" in the 1980's for the "Philadelphia Architect" a publication for the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Her friends and collegues have been encouraging her to bring "Alice" back to life. Due to the 25 year time span between "original" Alice and Alice "now", she is in the process of re-designing her for a more updated "look".

This is an Original “Alice©” Cartoon and was drawn for the “Philadelphia Architect”, a publication of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 1984.  The situation of SEPTA or the Philadelphia regional rail/subway/buses not having enough money for repairs has remained the same as in 1984.
